This has been such a fun chaotic year and I'm glad to have spent it with all the friends and family close to my heart. I tried roller derby the first few months, finished my mosaic crochet alien blanket, finally got my braces off, celebrated so many friends at their birthday parties, protested for the rights of the disabled, supported friends at their art receptions, and shared a booth to sell my art at a Pride event! I also gained a rock family, a Madrina, and received my Elekes since starting the African Traditional Religion Lucumi this year, and it has been wonderful! Maferefun Orisha!! I spent so many days this summer at the river and wouldn't trade it for the world! I got to see my 2 youngest siblings branch out and try new things out of their comfort zone and I'm so proud of them! I celebrated the pregnant women in my life at their baby showers and wish nothing but blessings for both them and their family. Despite the chaos in the world, my year was spent with those I love and I'm so thankful for them 💚 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 🥳🎉🥂
I saw such beautiful art at @walpublicmarketgallery and got to visit the art studios of my friends and local artists at the @broad_room It's so nice seeing different artists in community with each other 💚
I took a 10 hour round-trip drive from Sacramento to Medford, Oregon to pick up my dream kiln from facebook marketplace yesterday! A very kind lady was selling this $2500 gas kiln for only $350!!! I've been wanting to buy this exact brand and model for the last 6 months, but now I finally have it!! My garage is finally becoming a full-fledged pottery studio :D The drive up was beautiful and I finally got to visit Weed, California and see their amazing views of Mt. Shasta 🏔
A successful glaze firing has been added to my skill list! I got a cool new drinking cup and some test palettes for future firings :D
