I’m not nearly as articulate as I want to be in writing about the pain, fear and anger in our collective consciousness right now. If you don’t have compassion for those who are standing up, speaking out, protesting, being arrested, hurting, and dying for basic human rights in our country, then you aren’t seeing past your biases.
I will continue to educate myself to better understand and leverage my privilege to advocate for justice and lasting social change. I’m thankful to work for a company that champions diversity, equity and inclusivity as one of its core values. Sprout has given me the resources to think critically about my privilege and allyship. I’m grateful to have friends who embody courageousness and utilize this platform to promote individuals/organizations that are making a difference. The least I can do is donate regularly and show my support for #blacklivesmatter
