I don't normally do these kind of posts, but I think 2025 deserves one. It's without a doubt been the hardest, most emotional year of my life, and I think I can speak for the rest of
@the.slipshod.experience by saying so.
What started as homelessness, losing a close friend to suicide, one that shaped who Slipshod was and battling a lot of personal shit, through sheer determination we managed to start a festival, a community and a place to belong, not just for ourselves, but for all the kind souls needing a place to call home. The feedback from the scene has been hard to swallow knowing the struggles and sacrifices we've had to make to get there but my god has the juice been worth the squeeze.
Amongst the chaos, i got engaged to my forever partner, learned to DJ, learned to produce, learned to actually face and not bury trauma, and despite the loss of loved ones, have been equally blessed with meeting some of the purest people I could have ever wished for.
They say you're not supposed to meet your heros, but that's bollocks, you just need to choose the right ones, and I'm not just talking about the artists I've met at the festival, but the people closest to me, supporting my insane dreams, the people there helping despite all of their own battles, the people I get to call family.
I could tag hundreds of people, but a special nod needs to go to these legends, not for their hard work but for their support through the hardest of times.

I have a genuinely good feeling going into 2026, one that I've never had in the past. For everyone going through the hardest times of their life right now, remember, 'when the winds against you, don't give up the fight, that's the optimal conditions for birds to take flight'
Stay strong, and let's show 2026 how to party 🥳
