My “Blackwatch” collection is now live.
Thanks to everyone who has been supporting the brand up until this point. I took a year break from selling clothes to re-evaluate everything I’ve been doing. I truly believe that art is political. The Blackwatch tartan was once used by British soldiers to colonize parts of Africa, now I am using the fabric to educate and to decontextualize the meaning of the pattern.
Most of this campaign was shot in Lagos, Nigeria. An important location for the meaning of the brand.
All the pieces in this collection were handmade by me in my studio in Atlanta.
