Brucie is not simply Cindy’s cat. He is her heart in fur.
Came into C&S’s lives during one of their most painful chapters, when they were carrying grief too heavy for words. And somehow, in the quiet way animals do, Brucie changed everything.
Independent, strong-willed, and deeply selective with his affection, Brucie gives love on his own terms, which makes every head bump, every tear he licks away, every private late-night “Brucie treat” moment all the more profound. He is the one who taught them that family can arrive in unexpected forms and still fill the deepest spaces in your life.
I've been lucky enough to honour that truth.

🐾 Melvin...Who Arrived in the Middle of the Night 🐾
Melvin was never part of the plan.
He came into C&S’s life on a freezing night, discovered while Cindy was out searching for Myrtle. Tiny, malnourished, and vulnerable, he was the kind of cat you cannot simply walk past, especially not in a home like theirs, where compassion always seems to make room for one more heartbeat.
Now Melvin is woven into the fabric of their family: playful, affectionate, and very much where he belongs.
Rescue stories like his deserve to be remembered. A photograph of Melvin is a celebration of second chances, of being found when lost, and of the extraordinary love C&S pour into every life they take in.
Their family wall tells the story of the people and souls who define their lives. Melvin belongs there because he is part of that legacy, proof that family is sometimes the one you save, and sometimes the one who saves you right back.
