Still hard to put into words how special it was to meet Pope Leo XIV. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity, and it was especially meaningful to speak with an English speaking pope, whose main message was one of unity and peace. His words have been so genuine and consistent with his actions.
I was not raised Catholic, so it was especially heartwarming to experience this moment with Brian, who is a devout Catholic. When Brian mentioned to the pope that we are married, we both felt received with warmth and kindness, which made the encounter even more meaningful. We also shared how meaningful @jamesmartinsj and his @outrchcatholic ministry is, which the pope received well.
Many people have asked what we talked about. After a warm hello and some small talk, I told him I had one very important question. I paused, and he looked a little concerned. Then I asked, “How did you do at Wordle today?” 😅
He laughed, relaxed immediately, and said it took him six tries. I told him it took me six as well. The word was “Glare,” a tricky one. A few minutes later, after greeting others, he came back to chat more about it. Still asking myself “Did that really just happen?” 🤯
I loved that moment because it showed how down to earth and relatable he is. Even with the weight of the world on his shoulders, he still makes time for the little things.
Another highlight was presenting him with a Dodgers jersey as part of the delegation from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. At the time the Dodgers had not yet won the World Series, so I’ll assume their win could’ve been a result of this divine intervention! 😉
I truly believe Pope Leo XIV will be a pope for everyone. He radiates compassion and acceptance, and it is clear that he genuinely cares about bringing people together.

2 years married, 12 years side by side ❤️
Today marks two years since that magical day in Paris where we said “I do.” A celebration of love, laughter, and the journey we’ve shared—from our very first days together to this unforgettable moment under the Parisian sky.
Grateful for every chapter we’ve written, and all the ones still to come.
