In 1986, About a year after I moved to New York City, I was in Donald Byrd‘s manager office. His name was Charlie Garziano. I walked in right at the moment when the Mets won the World Series! Charlie’s secretary was rolling on the floor, crying of joy because of that win!
At that time, I did not understand why anybody would get in such a state for some baseball victory. I still don’t !
But, now my 2 kids, soon 10 and 7 years old, have asked to be on the softball and baseball programs! So, after being in this great country for 46 years without any care for understanding either game, I guess this soccer and worldcup skiing fan, me, will finally have to learn how to be a base/softball dad! 😂😂😂
