Inspirations ….. Gone to Earth by Mary Webb
Written in 1917, based in Shropshire with beautifully rich descriptions of nature and independence.
And a wonderful fox 🦊

Also made into a film by Powell and Pressburger 1950 and free to watch on YouTube. It’s one of the best.
