KIA ORA — I have no words to describe the immense joy of having lived the experience of speaking again at the @agi_open conference after the pandemic and after many doubts about the validation and future of my work. It is clear that I would not have gotten here without the great talent of all those who have been part of the Sudtipos collective project for 20 years. Total thanks to the organizers of such a spectacular conference for over 1100 attendees. I promise to upload more pictures and the final karaoke when I have the official ones, but I couldn't contain my excitement. — @agigraphic

A little delay to post about some great news here but I am very happy and so glad to announce that the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston @mfaboston has acquired my poster (and 3 more), designed for the @19artistsversuscovid19 project and organized by @fedrigoni_uk , to be part of their collection! — The poster idea came from a previous instagram post I did on Instagram when quarantine just started. Some additional but important note about the acquiring is that everything they reproduce will go for charity as actually it does. — In the while please STAY HOME! — Special thanks to Alvaro López for the invitation to be part of this initiative even when I m not a poster designer. — The poster is beautifully printed in ultra high quality with metallic colors over black paper. The font in use is Fixture, available at sudtipos.com . . . #posterdesign #graphicdesign #covid19 #stayhome #covidart #typography #typographyinspired #typographydesign #sudtipos #sudtiposinuse #designfeed

After 25 years of drawing letters, moments like this still catch me off guard. Seeing my work become part of @adidas ’ new House of Tiro Nations line — especially with the world already slipping into World Cup mode — feels particularly special. There’s something about seeing it appear everywhere, all at once that still feels a little unreal. In a moment built on identity, passion, and pride, that feeling lands differently. Still grateful. Still amazed.

— Three of my typefaces were selected for the 10th Tipos Latinos Biennial I’m very happy to share that three of my typefaces were selected to be part of the 10th edition of the Tipos Latinos Biennial, one of the most important platforms for Latin American type design. For this edition, the jury selected 75 projects from 768 submissions across the region, marking the biennial’s 20th anniversary. To be part of this selection with three works is a real joy and a recognition I deeply value. I’m also very happy to see that other typefaces published by Sudtipos and designed by fellow Latin American designers were selected as well. I want to congratulate them and celebrate this shared recognition. — More info /es

Partner font family, new at @sudtipos — Partner was born out of a dialogue with a place and a way of understanding food. The project remained on hold for some time, until it was reactivated through a very specific commission: the creation of a custom typeface for a neo-bistro by a renowned chef in Argentina. A space where technique meets ease, where precision coexists with warmth, and tradition is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The first iteration was a sans serif in two weights, designed to live naturally within the restaurant—clear, functional, and quietly refined. From this real, everyday use, the family began to expand, eventually growing into nine weights with true italics. Along that path, a key idea emerged: to extrapolate the original structure and allow it to evolve—without fracture—into a serif. Partner is a variable type family in which sans and serif coexist within a single file, connected by a continuous axis that moves seamlessly from one to the other, and from light to black. The incised serifs are not a historical gesture, but a contemporary tool—sharpening the voice, adding texture and tension, and opening the door to a more editorial expression. Inspired by the intersection of graphic design, fashion, and 20th-century visual culture, Partner translates that sensibility into a modern typographic system. It is subtle, elegant, and timeless; classic without stiffness, modern without excess. A versatile typeface designed to adapt, to accompany, and to elevate without insisting. The family also includes a set of connected uppercase letters, offering an alternative rhythm and a more expressive, editorial tone. Partner feels at home in contexts where form is part of the narrative: gastronomy, fashion, perfumes, fine beverages, books, and magazines. Much like a neo-bistro, it balances technique and approachability, precision and pleasure—effortless, but never casual. Sans+Serif+Variable Available at sudtipos.com @sudtipos

Hubo cosas buenas. Viajé. Viajé con mi hijo. Vinos y comidas memorables. Otras se llevaron medio año. Crecí sin querer hacerlo. Lo intentamos. De nuevo.
