In a circle of the Ju/’hoansi women, I sit—
wrapped in stories older than maps.
They speak of wombs and wildness, of birth as a journey through the wild.
No manuals. No measurements.
Only hands, songs, and stories—
a lineage of life passed on in whispers beneath the thorn trees.
Their wisdom steadies me. Their presence softens the path.❤️🥰👼🏻
A child is coming—and I am not alone.

She watches the lions
with the stillness of the earth itself.
As if something ancient inside her already knows..
that nature is not scenery,
but family.
A bow in the grass.
A quiver breathing beside it.
Nothing announces itself.
And yet, everything is there.
The curve of the wood remembers its tree.
The arrows carry wind, distance, animal paths
the hour when the land softens
and lets itself be read.
It looks like an object.
It is a way of knowing.
At the Wisdom Academy,
a tool is never separate from the world that made it..
it is where culture and nature
still move as one.
The animals did not wait for a day to remember the earth.
They never left it.
A jackal crosses the salt pan.
It does not ask what it owns.
It does not wonder what it has lost.
Man counts, fences, names.
Calls it knowledge.
Calls it progress.
Then one day
he looks up,
and the silence answers nothing back.
We did not lose the wild.
We stepped out of it.
And still, the path is there, worn into us.

We stood at sunset,
in front of everyone we love,
joined in marriage by /oma,
and I chose you ❤️
with a certainty that had no beginning.
Not because love is easy,
but because loving you feels like truth.
Like something I do not have to reach for
only remember.
As if I was born to remember you.
We spoke our promises into the desert,
and I felt how real they were,
how already lived inside me,
like they had been waiting
for us to arrive.
And within that knowing,
we both knew
our love had already taken root
beyond us.
Desert Rose 👶
Not the beginning.
The continuation.
A life
held inside the love
I was promising to you.
But even then
even with everything unfolding
it was you.
You I was choosing.
You I am choosing.
You I will keep choosing,
as this love deepens,
widens,
and becomes
all that it was always meant to be.
I ❤️ you @ralphbousfield
At the Wisdom Academy, the Ju/’hoansi pass the art of spear making from hand to hand, drawing shape from found metal in the fire and fastening it to wood with the patience of those who remember that survival is also a form of poetry 🧡
I was there when the trees were tall
And the people where full of stories
I walked on pathways
Of breathing earth
And read the pattern
Of an elephants foot sole
They sang songs
With no ending
Unaware that they would soon run out of words
Only remembering a hum
But a baby can grow
words from humming
and sing a long neck onto a giraffe
and from there we can look
further than challenge
remembering
is the only way we dance
- Aleks
When I found you. I looked at you and felt everything I have lived, condensed into one single moment.
Melting icicles
Arriving birds
All new
on an axis closer to the sun
A bigger skin
To let more love in.
