Thank You Daytona….
Over the past three years life has changed a lot. My last full year of racing was in 2022. Since then life has definitely thrown a lot of challenges my way. For a while I lost sight on how to live, I lost sight on the things that matter and more importantly I lost myself. But what has happened this year is the reason I can look myself in the mirror and be proud of the person I see looking back. Finally getting back to full time competition and finding a purpose in my life filled a void that had been missing for a long time. Through this season life was hard, I faced challenges I never expected and had to overcome a lot just to make each race weekend. But through it all when I had doubts the people around me made sure good things always happened. This year our team won 10 out of 11 races and clinched an SCCA championship in our first full time season. The work put in before each race weekend from @__prest0n__ and all of the trackside help from @tuckmoto@a.iddeen and @noahmyou aloud us to go into this championship weekend more prepared than any race weekend I have had before this year. Daytona speedway is where I fell in love with motorsports. There I made some of the earliest and best memories with my father. And to win a championship there with some of the best people you could have next to you made this weekend one of the most special in my life. Being able to share Tucker martins car with him and winning the enduro under the lights, being able to stand in Daytona victory lane for his dad made it even more special. Sunday was the hardest races I’ve ever had in a car. Going back in fourth for 40 minutes and making a winning pass on the last lap fulfilled a dream and made it one hell of an emotional victory lap. With the win on Sunday are now the 2025 SCCA South Atlantic Road Racing series champions. Looking toward the future I have no idea what’s next. What our next step is and what challenges may come with it. But I do know with the amazing people I have standing next to me there is nothing I can’t accomplish. Pops this ones for you…
It’s been a busy but very enjoyable start to the year. Currently leading in the SCCA South Atlantic Road Racing Series Championship with winning our first 5 races. Looking to snatch a few more wins before we fight for a championship at Daytona later this year. Couldn’t be more thankful for all the hard work from @__prest0n__ , @tuckmoto , @joshingfordays to get us race ready every weekend.
Fun weekend down at Roabling. Finished second both Saturday and Sunday. Had to drive like hell to keep up with the big motor cars in my little 1.6. But overall a very successful weekend. Feels awesome to finish on the podium 7 out of 8 races so far this year. Now time to take a little break to build this car up and get it ready for Daytona.
So I figured it was time to finally say what’s been going on for the past year. After Loretta’s in 2022 I decided to take a step back from moto. After that week in August I realized it was my time to move on. The goal that my father and I set out to accomplish when I was a kid was achieved. After six long years of grinding I didn’t see anything else for me. So I moved home and spent a little time searching for what I wanted to do with my life. I still rode a few times and actually found some enjoyment in it again but I got a job and just tried to adapt to a normal life with no racing. However I realized that I couldn’t give up on my passion. I was getting ready to try and run some local moto events but I ended up braking my femur trail riding one day on the same hip I broke twice before. When I got out of surgery I knew my life on two wheels was behind me. I spent the next couple of months recovering and was truthfully very depressed. During recovery my family and friends got together and knew I needed to get back into racing in one form or another. We got together as a group and decided if I wanted to keep continuing racing we should make the transition from two wheels to four. We got this little Miata right when I was starting to be able to walk again and got to work. I ran a couple track days and instantly knew this felt right. This passed weekend we went to VIR for my second race weekend ever in a car, it couldn’t have gone any better. Pole position in class, two second place finishes, and a win in the enduro and a win in the sprint race on Sunday. I guess all those years playing on my simulator in my shed at MTF really helped. Looking forward I am very excited for what the future holds. I have no idea how far we will go in this but I am very happy with the position I am in. I can finally see my life has a clear path. Thank you to my family, my team, and everyone who helps put this program together. Without there love and support, without them I couldn’t have done any of this.I hope to continue growing as a person and through all of this look for the positives in life because I can truly say I am smiling and I don’t ever want to stop.
