Thanks to the heroic Edward Bunting we have this harp melody by the legendary Turlough Carolan, which he dedicated to my great x5 grandmother, Fanny Power before she married. Here it is with her portrait in later life.
The ancient #music of #Ireland was recorded in 1797 by one Edward Bunting. But for him it would have been lost for all time. The Dublin harpmaker John Egan resonated with the movement making these #Regency versions of ancient Irish #harps.
