To know where you’re going, remember where you come from — our grand mother’s house was the first museum I ever spent time in. Let’s see what the audience retention is for this one lol. Reels are fun it turns out!

So many childhood hours lived with these objects; as an adult, every time I come back I appreciate them all over again. As the grandchildren grow up it’s hard to keep things in order and in good condition. Objects and photographs that carry meaning can help ground ourselves in our personal history, whether constructed or inherited. Obviously very eclectic and somewhat mismatched, this place taught me who we are, and how to share it with others. Basically the importance of heirloom possessions. The privilege to have a place and material goods to pass down to multiple generations, although it might be gone, soon. Materialism sucks dont get me wrong, but my grandparents collection definitely influenced my affinity with special things. Can’t help to think of the Venezuelan diaspora and every displaced family all over the world, and how they too wish they could keep a few heirlooms to remember where they come from and teach their kids their history

when in rome…in no particular order: botanical garden of rome, Trastevere , macchiato, il Tevere, making a wish, and smelling a very strong species of jasmine unbeknownst to me. grateful to have the time and freedom to take it all in 🦋🌱
every time i post i wanna write about how i want to post more. 2025 has been like 5 years in 1 but here are some photos from my time in A Coruña and Porto in the last week 🍀 got to see my loved ones and watch my cousin get married, reconnect with A Coruña after 12 years of not visiting fam, and still exploring portugal for a few days. Its nice to make memories more permanent through photography, this account doesn’t represent all of the beauty i get to witness on my grid as much as i post on stories— its ok though, one day we will all print a book with all of our 125,000 photos (i do have these many) from our camera roll so we can enjoy our memories and be grateful for all the life we’ve so intentionally collected through our lenses. Until then, i can celebrate my new hair cut, my nice princess dress, my youth, the world that meets my eye and just try to choose more to post the next one 💌 missing the time where the grid was flux and authenthic slices of life and not only a portfolio 🫰🏽 for more “final” art and design work you can follow my studio account @taguara.studio
