A huge thank you to Elaine from @powerisbananas for visiting our Country Centre yesterday and delivering such a brilliant, uplifting workshop for the people we support, and staff members. 🍌
Everyone was encouraged to write an affirmation, word or positive thought onto a banana before immersing themselves in music, movement, creativity and play. From banana jenga in the sunshine to interacting with others, the session created such a positive atmosphere throughout the day.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with one person saying they came away feeling 'content' - and really, how many people can say that after a day’s workshop?
Thank you, Eliane, for bringing such energy, creativity and connection to us. 🧡
POWER at the Aldingbourne Country Centre 🧡
Inspired by Sam one of the @aldingbournecountrycentre rockstar bunch who shouts "banana lady" every time we see each other at the gym. 💛💥
Sam always asks "when are you coming back (to ACC)?"
Today, made possible by banana currency - you paying it forward at checkout, and the bunch booking corporate and private bananas - THANK YOU.
They'd love me to come back again, as often as possible.
I'd love that too.
My banana I LOVE MY LIFE inspired me to ask the bunch what they love about their life. 🍌
Football gives so much more than the chance to play ⚽️🧡
For the people we support, it brings identity, confidence and a real sense of belonging. Wearing our orange shirt means being part of a team, sharing moments with friends and staff, and feeling proud to be seen.
"Our orange shirts I love as it gives us identity. So fun to see friends and staff wearing it" - Andrew

We had a wonderful time at the Oving Scarecrow Festival this weekend. 🧡
It was great to be part of such a creative and welcoming community event, hosting a stall where we sold plants and helped raise awareness of Aldingbourne Trust.
A big thank you to the event organisers for putting on such a fantastic festival, and to @woodhornfarm and @earthcycleuk for inviting us to share a space with them.
We’re also hugely grateful to our incredible volunteers for their support on the day - we couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, support us, and anyone who bought a plant. 🪴

A HUGE thank you to Middleton Cricket Club for welcoming such a large group of people we support to have a go at cricket last Friday! 🏏
You made it such a brilliant day - everyone had so much fun, enjoyed the fresh air, learnt new skills, and experienced the power of working together as a team. Days like this really show how much can be gained from trying something new and sharing it with others.
And an extra big thank you to Hannah for the free ice creams - they went down a treat! 🍦
We’re already looking forward to the next session and bringing along some familiar (and new!) faces to give cricket a go.

5,895 metres. One mountain. One goal: to make a lasting difference.
Dominic is taking on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro (5,895m) in October 2027 to raise funds for Aldingbourne Trust. This is a cause that is very close to his and his family’s heart, making the challenge far more than just a physical test. Every step taken on the mountain represents a commitment to supporting individuals who face daily challenges that many of us never see.The aim is to raise £5,895, £1 for every metre climbed, helping Aldingbourne Trust continue their vital work providing opportunities, support and independence for adults with learning disabilities and autism across West Sussex and Hampshire.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help create real opportunities and make a meaningful, lasting difference.
