Run of herringbone ribbons for a new batch of mics. Store has been out of stock for a bit but I'm on it! Mics will be available soon. It's been a busy stretch for a while here, I'm prepping for a move, but still keeping everything moving.

I've been talking to the fantastic @clayton_michael_ray over the last few weeks, and he did a great overview of the H44 on YouTube. (copy link below) Clayton is a class act, and was just super kind and helpful to work with. If you want to give a little momentum to a deserving artist I encourage you to go take a look at the work he's doing. Thanks Clayton! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/watch?v=NSdnZ8PmrzY
This is what transformer development looks like folks. So. Much. Tiny. Wire. Hoping to release a new product in the next 6 months or so if I can get this all sorted out. Stay tuned!
Workin hard to keep these in stock right now over at alderaudio.com. This is what the mic bodies look like coming in from the laser cutter, and its time to get another batch started.
Anybody else a fan of this unique kick mic technique or know if it has a name? You put a figure 8 parallel to the kick right in the center, and then the lows pull and push on the mic at the same time because the front and back of the mic are opposite phase just like the front and back of the drum. Perfect for a ribbon and sounds fantastic.
Super excited to launch a new video series today sharing what I've been learning about transformer design and vintage units like the Triad A12J, A11J, and A9J. See profile for link to the YouTube channel.
Scored this 70s Harmony P bass yesterday for quite a steal and put some La Bellas on it. Perfect test subject for a current mowtown style DI transformer project ive been working on.
