Been falling in love with LA again. Learning that sometimes you need to step away to realize a place is a place, and your mindset can determine the meaning of home. Grateful for all of my incredible collaborators out here and beyond inspired right now. May this be the best year ever.
This pic was taken in London at metropolis studios after everyone left the session. I had a dream about my grandparents the night before and voice memo’d a scratch at 4 in the morning. I turned it into a song the next day.
On top of this all, leaving the studio with a full heart, I am look up to hear “hey” and it’s Elton Jon leaving at the same time as me. We exchanged words and in that moment I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
