Since most of the fairs are ending, and IAMSUMMER is in a week or so, I want to throw it back to last year at Great America when I did what I love the most, and that’s keeping my tradition alive by making at least 11 shots at a fair’s basketball game and handing out all of the prizes to the kids 🎢🧸 Scroll to witness it all take place, as well as showcase my love for basketball 🏀🪣🎯
Tradition continued ‼️
I go to fairs or amusement parks and win a bunch of prizes playing basketball, and give the prizes to the kids 🏀🧸
The goal was to make 22, 11 for myself and 11 for my best friend that passed away @romo_2133 🙏🏽🕊️
I ended up making 2 in 1 turn on one of them, but only 1 prize can be given 🙃
So in total I made 23 altogether 💪🏽
Here are each of the makes, as well as me handing the prizes out to them 😊
I make as many as I can to win the prizes and give them out to kids 🧸🏀 This is something me and my best friend @romo_2133 started last year, but since his passing, I now do it in his honor 🕊🙏🏽 I set the goal at 11 since it’s my lucky number, and we ended up with 17 ‼️🪣 Combining basketball and giving back to the kids is something I absolutely love, and I plan to continue to do this 💪🏽🔥 For the 1st time I actually had parents give me money in order to win the prizes for their kids 💵😂 And ofcourse, I was all for it 👌🏽💯
There were things that me and Robert had in common that I didn’t have with anyone else. We had this love for giving back to the youth and giving back to the community. Pure selfless actions where we genuinely wanted to see others be happy and succeed. And we found this passion through playing basketball. We were at Knots Berry Farm this past summer and we watched a couple kids around age 8 that tried their hardest to make a free throw or 3 pointer in order to win a big stuffed animal. And at their age and build, that task is really, really tough. When they couldn’t make a shot and left disappointed and sad, me and Robert came up with a concept to play the games, make as many shots as we can afford, and hand out every prize to the kids around. We did this at Knots Berry Farm, Great America, a mini carnival, Merced Fair, and Stanislaus County Fair. Our biggest day was at Stanislaus County fair in July where we made 15 3-pointers each, and handed out all 30 giant stuffed animals to the kids down the main walkway. We blew a bag while doing it, but the money spent didn’t matter to us. And idk if Robert was more happier being the shooter, or the cameraman, but he loved doing this, and so did I. This ended up becoming our favorite thing to do together, and we always talked about the next time we would do it again. We planned on doing it again this year, but I plan on making Robert’s shots for him. I love you and miss you bro. Forever my best friend. Forever my twin @romo_2133
