Been over 5 months of procrastinating putting this out there, knowing it’s the right next move for me but expanding in more ways than one …. Im nervooouusssss 🫣 but also LFG ?? 😝😝
Ask me a year ago I was admiment that I wanted to keep Alchemy Orange tight, wanted to be involved in everything and not send a team out to execute my design (big Virgo perfectionismmmmm nrg) but last year something shifted…. an 🤔epiphany🤔 of sorts some might say… (probably after being exhausted lol and burnt out one too many times) 🫠🫠🫠
I’ve spent 6 years growing, developing and putting my whole heart into this business but the 5000 hats I wear have gotten too heavy for one little head (mine)……. So we finna grow 🫡🫡🤝🤝🤝
What I am seeking:
✔️Hardworking individual(s?) with strong work ethic not afraid to put in the WERK. This is a physically laborious and demanding industry. Floristry exp not required I will teach you
✔️Help with social media/content creation - please help me I’m like a 120yro with technology. Skilled with photography a definitely bonus but not essential
✔️Current drivers license - This is essential !!
✔️ Flexible schedule - thinking 2-3 days while training up bouquets but we will still do event work so there’ll definitely be room for more
✔️Lastly - Someone who’s fun and creative and looking for a fun and creative environment seeking to make more BLAK MAJIK ✨✨✨✨

‘BOGONG’ in this years NGV Rigg Design Prize by MOI 💅
Over 6000 hand cut, treated, varnished, drilled & attached Eucalyptus bark segments make up this light sculpture, signifying the dormant aestivation period of the Bogong Moth up in the cave crevices of Victoria’s High Country during their annual lunar-guided migrations. Their once recorded *thriving* population of up to 17 000 p2m (!!!!!!!) would mark important ceremonial times for Aboriginal peoples. Today factors such as artificial light pollution derailing their migration route has led to a 99.5% population decline, and added the Bogong to the endangered species list.
The work invites reflection on loss, resilience, and renewal, and highlights the vital role of First Nations knowledge in protecting and sustaining Country.
There’s are soooo many layers to this concept (figuratively AND literally) which I can’t wait to share in due time ^___^ but for now I am just going revel in all of last nights opening, the other works from each incredible artist and encourage you to go and see the show!

Latest iteration for our friends at Aus Medical Council, honouring the current Waring (Wombat) season which is the longest of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung seasons, spanning April - July
Days are getting shorter & nights longer & colder with morning frosts arriving. Wombats are seen more frequently during the days to bask in the remaining sunshines
I’ve used Possum banksias here but when grouped they definitely give womba I reckon anyways. Bixia Nuts, Stringybark & Harekeke (flax) flower? just coz they’re beautiful and I liked the introduction of the black colour
Special mention to Amanda at @thegoodsflowerco for the palm spaths , can’t wait to explore with these more
