We caught up with Terry McEvoy from RMIT to reflect on the Trades Innovation Centre project, the collaboration behind it, and why spaces like this matter for the future of education 👏 From specialised welding bays and training rigs to highly adaptable learning environments, this wasn’t a standard build. It challenged teams to think differently, collaborate closely, and deliver spaces designed for the next generation of industry. One of the biggest takeaways? The intersection of trades. Not just in the physical spaces themselves, but in the way people, disciplines and ideas came together throughout the project. 💬 What’s one project that’s changed the way you think about your industry? #EducationConstruction #ConstructionIndustry #CommercialConstruction #FutureOfEducation #MelbourneConstruction

Craftsmanship on large-scale projects doesn’t happen by accident. At Wyndham Cultural Centre, it came through in the coordination, detailing, materiality, and delivery behind every part of the build - from finishes and interfaces through to the way the project was executed on site. 👉 Swipe through to see how design intent was carried through construction with precision and care. The result is a cultural centre designed to support performance, creativity, and community connection for years to come. Calm, collected and always moving beneath the surface. Our Submission Manager Bec is the definition of a “duck on water” - steady on the outside, while expertly navigating the fast-paced world of bids behind the scenes. From shaping compelling submissions to keeping the team aligned under pressure, her role is integral to everything we do. We recently asked Bec a few questions and her answers offer a glimpse into her journey, what drives her and the craft behind great bid management (plus a few well-earned reset rituals along the way). Hit our bio link to read our full chat with Bec! #TeamAlchemy #BidManagement #WomenInConstruction #BehindTheScenes #Teamwork

A century-old icon, restored for the future. At Barwon Heads Golf Club, a heritage restoration, live site environment, and unexpected discoveries meant our approach had to constantly adapt - from hidden cellars to complex structural challenges. 👉 Swipe through to see how we managed complexity on site, and what it takes to deliver projects like this. Recognised as one of the World’s Best Golf Resorts by @the.australian , the result is a clubhouse that balances heritage, performance, and long-term community value. Bridging the gap between design and construction isn’t always straightforward. In the latest episode of HardChat, our Design Manager Sam asks Senior Design Manager Krysti: "what does it mean to you to be the link between architects and builders?" 👉 Watch how she breaks it down. Because the work that connects design intent with what actually gets built isn’t always visible - but it plays a critical role in how projects come together. Curious how we approach it? There’s more via the link in bio. How do you approach alignment between design and delivery on your projects? #ConstructionManagement #BuiltEnvironment #DesignManagement #ProjectDelivery #ArchitectureToConstruction

Most kids don’t grow up seeing themselves in construction. Not because they’re not interested - but because they’ve never been exposed to it. That’s what programs like "Yes You Can" are starting to change. A day of hands-on activities. Real conversations. A chance to see the industry differently - one built on creativity, problem-solving and collaboration. Sometimes, that’s all it takes to open the door. #ConstructionCareers #FutureWorkforce #STEMEducation #CommunityEngagement #HandsOnLearning

Building safer healthcare environments starts long before handover. At @austinhealth_ , we worked closely with Efficiency Matrix to carry out airtightness testing on site - an important step in how we approach performance and risk in complex healthcare projects. 👉 Watch how early specialist collaboration helps us identify and address issues before they become critical. Because in environments like these, the details you can’t see often matter most. It’s how we deliver with precision, accountability and care - for patients, staff, and the communities these spaces support. How is your team approaching risk management in complex healthcare environments? #HealthcareConstruction #BuiltEnvironment #ProjectDelivery #RiskManagement #HospitalDesign

Seven levels. 25 metres. One fully integrated vertical transport solution. At @monash_uni ’s Caulfield Campus, the incredible seven-storey lift tower we delivered alongside @nharchitecture and @aecom has become a landmark on site - transforming how students, staff, and visitors can move through Buildings B and C. From seamlessly connected walkway bridges on every level to a striking curtain wall façade, every element has been designed with purpose. Rising 25 metres into the air, the striking building has delivered upgraded amenities across all seven floors, enhancing the everyday experience for thousands of users across the busy campus at Caulfield. We’re proud to build infrastructure that connects more than buildings - it connects people. #alchemy #socialinfrastructure #education #construction

Big dreams start small At Alchemy Construct, we believe the earlier you open the door to possibility, the bigger the impact. That’s exactly what our Yes You Can program is all about. Recently at Upper Ferntree Gully Primary, we swapped textbooks for hard hats and got hands-on with the next generation of builders, thinkers and creators. From decorating hard hats to diving into creative challenges, students explored a side of construction they may have never seen before - one driven by imagination, teamwork and problem-solving. One of the highlights? A special Q&A between our HSEQ Manager Amy and her son Liam, sharing a real and personal take on how experiences like this can spark curiosity and shift perspectives early. This was more than a school visit, it’s about inspiring confidence, breaking stereotypes and showing young people that there’s a place for everyone in our industry. Because the future of construction starts here.
