Here's the fastest possible tour of our studio!!!
In order of apperance:
We have our lobby with our new fully automatic espresso machine (very important)
And our central patch system that lets us connect lines from every room in the building to every studio
The little hallway closes up into an iso booth
Our main hall with our grand piano, B3 organ and all kinds of amps and gear, as well as another iso booth
Studio B, fully equipped with Dolby Atmos
The gallery that functions as another booth on the second floor
Our amp room
Studio C, home of Studio Frisson. Fully equipped for with a crazy Neve console, and ready for vintage style projects and analog tape
Studio A, home of NowSessions, ready for all your preproduction needs
The office, with plenty of instruments available for you
The yard (work in progress) By the spring we will have a paved path and furniture outdoors to act as another outdoor lobby and place to hang out during nice days.
This is a quick and honest peek as to our setup, what we are working on for the facility, and what you can expect when you come to see us!

We get questions often about the history of the church, including this plaque.
We did a fair amount of research, but with limited success.
The building was originally a Presbyterian church, and the brick outside dates the building to 1928.
The building was apparently only used as a church for about 20 years or so, and then became a notary office, dance studio, comporate office, and then 3 sets of owners running it as a recording studio.
The mystery comes from the plaque. It was installed when we were arrived, and the paint around it makes it look like it has been there for a long time.
We had some friends check with the presbytery, and it seems there was no record of the church, nor of Rev. John Garvin or his wife Rebecca Gillis.
If anyone is bored, please let us know if you happen to have any information, or any means of finding some!
At some point I plan to go the national archives and see if there's anything more to learn there.

A small detail I've always found cool about the building is that underneath our front cathedral windows, the original builders placed a little monument for the year it was built!
Looking forward to celebrating 100 years of Alchemist Studios!
After months of work on the instrument, we're thrilled to announce that our Steinway Model D 9 foot concert grand piano is fully ready for your sessions!
The improvement from the day it got to the studio to now is amazing, and we are THRILLED with the sounds we've gotten in our tests and in the past few recording sessions!
If ever you would like to give it a try, let us and know and we will set up a time
