Working with @bolton_john_paul of BSD as Structural Engineer Consultants to create a 14 meter opening at the 19th floor of one of the top 5 hotels in London. Two central RC columns are proposed to be demolished and two 1 m deep steel trusses are installed to support the remaining structure above. The trusses are preloaded using flat jacks. A lot of site welding due to site constraints. Impressive work and glad to be part of the design team. WFC as main contractor and Talina Builders undertaking the steelwork fabrication and installation.
