Before Toronto’s club scene exploded in the 90s, there was The Twilight Zone — the underground spot that rewrote the rules. From 1980 to 1989, this Richmond Street club brought house, hip hop, funk, and punk under one roof, welcoming everyone from b-boys to drag queens to art kids. Legendary DJs, all-night dancing, and no dress code — it set the blueprint for the city’s nightlife.
