Alba went to their first tournament of the year a couple weeks ago and had an absolute blast, finishing 22nd!
Winning 5 games at an elite European tournament is just how we wanted to kick the season off, and there’s plenty to build off of from this weekend.
Congrats to Luke for winning MVP after some great plays and consistently high level performance (and shoutout to Joel and Ciaran who did not make the team photo)!!

Finally (and certainly not least), the last two members of committee to introduce are Ronan and Dan as social media secs.
They will be in charge of sharing Alba’s successes and news on their media pages, as well as organising socials for the team throughout the season (and sick edits like the ones above).

Next up is Nick who will be our Training Camp Coordinator for the year! He’s in charge of planning and organising logistics for Alba’s team training weekends.

Our Pitch Booking Officer for this season will be Harry. Count on him to sort out great facilities for every training just as he can be relied on to tear up the pitch in the cutting space!

As Kit Officer this year, Rob will be in charge of supplying our team apparel and getting the squad looking professional and slick at tournaments!

Next up is our President Ali McNeill! Always on top of all the admin and organisational elements of the role, you can also find him at the top skying someone in the endzone.

Now for our treasurer, you can trust Mackie to handle the club funds just as reliably as he handles the disc on the pitch. An Alba veteran who will consistently bring his A-game in the handler set as well as the deep space!

Next up is our other captain, Jonny Evans.
You can always rely on Jevans to put in the effort on and off the pitch and come away with some incredible highlights. He’ll be leading Alba through trainings and tournaments this season!

Alba are saddened to note the passing of our teammate and dear friend, Andrew Dick, following his difficult battle with blood cancer. Dickers was not only an extremely talented and stalwart player for our team, being a role model for many, he was also an unbelievably funny, charismatic and uplifting friend. An incredible human who will be sorely missed by all who he affected.
Dickers was passionate about disc golf and was helping build a new disc golf course in Leeds. His family have asked that if anyone is wishing to make a donation in his memory, to please do so to the Leeds disc golf course. Please find the link here if you wish to donate.
