On Thursday, I received a call that nobody wants to get. A pal told me that our friend and musical hero was in his last hours and wanted to chat. This man led the way for so many of us in the music business in more ways that I can tell you. He sold young fellas like me and Cory our earliest guitars and told us a few thousand road survival tricks. I called right away. We chatted for a short but meaningful time and I explained that myself and Cory and the gang were playing the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles that evening. We chatted for another little bit and we ended the call with him saying ‘The Troubadour! I always wanted to play there. Rock the place for me.’
And, we did so.

Got to see Alan Doyle (of ‘Great Big Sea’). So good. So entertaining. 1st time inside The Troubadour too. Loved hearing the GBS songs… and everything else. What a stage presence.
