Amazing time with Jane at the Flavours of Hong Kong Dinner Buffet at Mandarin Oriental—and honestly, it was like a mini food adventure for all of us @mo_hkg 😍👧🍽️ 🚚 Bread Trolley first (Jane’s favourite “station” moment!) We kicked off with the Deluxe Bread Trolley—and tried the Barbecued Pork Bun with Sweet Crust + the Pineapple Bun with Salted Egg Custard 🥐✨ Jane was so excited by the variety, she kept pointing like “try that one!” 😂🍞 🥗 Fresh & colourful bites to begin For something light, we went for Shrimp & Fresh Fruit Salad 🦐🍍 and a Spicy Hand-Shredded Chicken Salad vibe 🌶️ Even the salad bar felt fun—lots of textures for little explorers. 🍣 Sushi & sashimi Next stop: the Sushi and Sashimi section 🍣 Joyce watched the selection (and we took our time!), including sashimi like Hamachi, Ebi, Hotate, Tai, Hokki, and Salmon 🐟 🦞 Seafood lovers corner (seriously impressive) We couldn’t skip the Sustainably Sourced Seafood—think Boston lobster, Alaskan king crab leg, abalone, mussels, sea whelk, live prawns, and more 🦞🦀 The whole table was giving “wow” energy ✨ 🧀 Lobster Caesar Salad trolley (a must-try!) ✨🍽️ We had the most lovely family evening at SAVVY @marcopoloprince @savvyhongkong – Teppan Set Menu, and I have to share because Jane was genuinely so happy from start to finish! 😍🌟 The experience felt really special right away. From the way they welcomed us to the overall atmosphere, everything felt warm and not rushed. 🫶✨ Jane is usually a bit nervous about noisy teppanyaki restaurants—she’s not a fan of the loud sounds, the sizzling, and the crowd energy. 😟🔊 But here, she said she felt the place was more personal and “not too loud,” which instantly made her relax. 🌿💛 It was such a relief because we could actually enjoy the meal together, without worrying she’d be uncomfortable. What an amazing night at GOLDEN GIP @goldengip_hk ! Under Chef-Owner Shun Sato and led by Head Chef Nigel Kim, this Korean-inspired Japanese spot is all about bold flavors, shareable plates, and nonstop good vibes. 🥢✨ We kicked things off with Ika Sashimi with sour plum ponzu, lychee plum compote, and seaweed oil, then Aburi Hamachi with perilla ponzu and chili oil. The Zuke Akami tuna with aonori, ponzu, and avocado was bright and super refreshing, and the crab stick mizuna salad with CENSU sesame numbing sauce plus pickled daikon with yuzu ponzo kept that “one more bite” feeling going. 🍣🍋🐟🥗🥒 For mains, the prawn gyoza stole the show with gochujang and that comforting lobster bisque vibe.
