The house built by Unns Great Grandfather Johan Dahl Christensen 1859-1918. He and his wife Anna Cornelia 1883-1924 had 17 children. The eldest Kathinca Amanda married the sculptor Torbjørn Alvsåker. Their child Torbjørg was Emma’s Grandmother

The following were just 2 members of my wife’s family. Bjørn Storås (born 30/09/1920) was a member of the Norwegian Royal Airforce (RAF Squadron number 332) part of 132 Wing RAF. With his aircraft Spitfire MK lX, AH-R, serving as cover for the Dieppe raid, fighter sweeps and escort operations over the Low Countries, he also took part the Normandy Landings. He was shot down and killed by anti-aircraft fire over Emden on 04/04/45. Later that month the squadron were transferred to Scotland and then in September to Norway.
Ivar Darre Høgseth (13/11/1916) served in the Royal Norwegian Navy, in 1940 on the obsolete Destroyer “Garm” which was sunk by the German invading forces. In Bergen, Norway, he joined the Alvær Group, involved with espionage, importing weapons and transporting people between Norway and the United Kingdom. The organisation was uncovered in 1941. He and 33 others were arrested and eventually ended up in Berlin. He together with 13 others were executed on 06/10/1941.
