Greetings from Garut, West Java, Indonesia! 🇮🇩 A group of final year film students at Institut Kesenian Jakarta (@fftvikj ) just wrapped their short film project using ZEISS CP.3s and Alexa SXT. The script is about a young boy who stole horseshoes from his father’s horses, believing the money can be given directly to God to heal a sick horse, a story about faith and innocence. For this project DP Sulaiman Shofwan chose ZEISS CP.3s for their neutral color, cinematic sharpness, and image consistency across all focal lengths, helping every frame to be genuine and emotionally grounded. The film is now in final edit and grading, and planned to be submitted to film festivals around the APAC region soon. Jaimie Gramston (@jaimiegramston_dop ) shot ZEISS Nano Primes and Sony VENICE across the Philippines for "Michael Palin in the Philippines", a 3 x 60 min travel documentary series with Sir Michael Palin, commissioned by Channel 5. Shooting almost entirely handheld, Jaimie described the combination as "A beautifully high-end look, barely distinguishable to my eye from the Supreme Primes, but in a much smaller, lighter lens, essential for considered, documentary handheld work and quick lens changes on a project of this nature. Colors looked great, skin tones lovely, and what was out of focus fell away beautifully. The resistance on the focus rings across the set was smooth, consistent and exactly right for me pulling my own focus. And crucially, their cost fits into most documentary budgets of this sort." Congrats to Director Gloria Chee and DP Teck Siang Lim for wrapping their film "White Shadow (白色之影)”, shot on ZEISS Supreme Prime and Sony BURANO. A meditation on mortality, intimacy, and the fragile courage to love, White Shadow unfolds in the quiet spaces between life and loss. Set among Singapore’s liminal urban landscapes, the film follows two souls confronting an approaching end, where denial slowly transforms into a deeper, boundless form of care. Told with a restrained, naturalistic gaze and a dreamlike visual palette, the film explores how the presence of death can illuminate the urgency of tenderness. In this suspended world of soft light and lingering shadows, love becomes not possession, but transcendence—brief, luminous, and profoundly human. The film is completed and has now been submitted to various film festivals.
