a small blurb: when it comes to things i’m passionate about, i tend to beat myself up a lot. this mix was an attempt to shut my internal monologue up. unlike my previous mixes, where i would re-record it over and over again until it polished, this one was done in one take - flaws and all. it’s makes me feel a bit vulnerable, but i’m proud of it, so i hope you enjoy this glimpse into my journey to expand my range & try to be better.

ever since moving back to detroit, it’s been a goal of mine to play marble bar alongside some incredibly talented DJs. a part of me thought it’d be impossible - as a new dad, I often questioned if this was even something I should be aspiring for. luckily, with the support of my wife (a certified badass), friends, and detroit community, I’m able to realize this dream of mine.
being vulnerable on social media isn’t something I enjoy or do often, but I wouldn’t be honest with myself if I didn’t share and shamelessly scream about this from every rooftop. I hope to see y’all there - etari, deep creep, julian kendall, and the thrg guys are so damn good and this event, apropos of me, is sure to be a special one.

meet sloane mae-yun pan, the newest edition to our family. born on 8/10, she entered our lives ten days early with no warning, flipping a metaphorical bird to any and all plans or prep we had made - even in the womb, she was on her bonafide leo shit!
the last five days have been chaotic, to say the least. more than even the craziest festival bender, we’ve been the most sleep deprived we’ve ever been. but, man, we’re having so much fun - it’s by far the coolest damn thing we’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of. and so, if this is the toughest part of babyhood, then we’re only going up! let’s keep the dopamine drip flowing.
