I'm not brave enough for #backflip on the ground (aka trampoline), but I'll do crazy backflips in mid-air 😅 . How about you? Do you do both? Do you do "only" ground backflips Or like me, "only" up in the air? #aerialist #aerialacrobatics #aerialbackflip #salto #backflips

99 ways into a belay… and somehow there’s always another entry to discover 🤯 This combo starts with a hipkey on one fabric only — separating the poles before doing a hipkey... Funny enough, I still remember teaching this in one of my weekly classes and seeing pure confusion on my students’ faces 😂 And honestly? The moment we started working on hipkeys on one pole at once, their brains completely melted. 😜 Moments like these always remind me how much training volume changes everything. Most of my students train once a week, while I’m on the silks 4–6 times weekly, constantly exploring tiny details, entries, theory, transitions, spinning pathways… Sometimes I miss having a real silk buddy around. Someone equally obsessed with aerial. Someone who wants to train for hours, discuss weird silk theory, test new pathways and get dizzy upside down together. But until then — I’m happy sharing all of this with you here 💚 And no, having followers doesn’t make anyone “better”. I’m simply an aerialist who turned her passion into a little business here in East Switzerland 🇨🇭 Do you have a silk buddy around? Anyway… enjoy this upside down spinning combo 🌀 #aerialsilks #aerialist #aeriallove #aerialaddict #aerialobsessed

“Tell me I’m not the only one whose brain short-circuits during a whistlock in the air 😅 Every single time I think I’ve got it… I go up in the air and suddenly everything feels backwards again. I practiced it on the ground. Repeat it a hundred times. Finally felt confident. Then I got into the silk and instantly questioned my entire existence 😂 Last time, one of my students and I were both trying to figure it out together, completely confused, until we finally got a clean rep on video. And honestly? I’m keeping this video forever so Future Me can come back and remember how this actually works. Maybe this time it’ll stick. (But let’s be real… I’ll probably get confused again next session.) Please tell me — is a whistlock in the air super intuitive for you? Or does it mess with your brain too? Because usually I pick up wraps and reps pretty quickly… but this one keeps humbling me every time. Anyway, here’s a clean version for anyone else who needs a visual refresher too. Hope it helps.” #WhistLock #OpenDrop #SilksDrop #AerialCommunity #DropsAndWraps

Combos like this make me feel strong, powerful, and in control of my body. Achieving this combo was not easy at all. First, there’s the open-star drop with both hands on the fabric and honestly, that part is scary (at first! 🤣). Then comes the switch into the handstand, which is far from easy. It takes body awareness, control, technique, and knowing exactly how to move safely in the air. I’m ending in a “wrong side” handstand, but somehow… that handstand still felt amazing. I don’t really like using the word “perfect,” but in that moment, I felt proud, strong, and powerful. 💪 This is NOT a beginner combo. Please don’t just attempt it because it looks cool. The first part is an open-drop, and I highly do NOT recommend trying it if you haven’t trained open drops before. Know your limits. Know your level. Don’t push your body into things it isn’t ready for yet. Train safely, work with an instructor, and always use a crash mat underneath you. ❤️ Thanks @shirleyaerialist for this one ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Happy handstanding — not only on the ground, but also up in the air. Because yes… we aerialists do handstands in the sky. #aerialhandstand #handstand #aerialist #bodycontrol #drop

For last weekend I had prepared this epic drop for an advanced workshop… but once I saw the set-up, I knew it simply wasn’t high enough. And considering different body types and proportions — especially for students with longer legs, where the drop automatically becomes bigger — I realized it wouldn’t be the right call for everyone. And that’s part of teaching too: knowing when not to teach something. Teaching workshops is never just about sticking to a plan — it’s about reading the room, adapting in the moment, and still delivering what you promised. Sometimes students are stronger than expected, sometimes they’re more challenged, sometimes they’re just tired from previous workshops. You have to stay flexible. But at the same time, if people sign up for an advanced class, they deserve to be challenged — not held back because others might feel overwhelmed. That balance isn’t always easy… but it’s what makes teaching so interesting. I always come prepared with way more material than I’ll ever need — just in case. And so far, it’s worked out pretty well. New faces, new energies, new challenges — and hopefully giving everyone at least a few things they can take with them into their next training. I really, really love teaching workshops 💚 What about you? As a student — what do you enjoy most about workshops? And for the teachers here — do you prefer teaching weekly classes or workshops? #aerialarts #circuslife #instructorlife #keeplearning #shareyourpassion ☝️Quick safety note If you’re trying this Freefall Flip, please make sure you have enough height — and more than you think you need. Even if you walk it down first, remember the bounce will add extra distance. Always use a crash mat, train safely, and don’t rush the process. Have fun with it, respect it… and if you go for it, tag me, I want to see you!

What a weekend it has been 💪🤸‍♀️💚 I taught six aerial silk workshops in Karlsruhe over three days—and even managed to take two classes myself—so it’s been intense in the best way. Right now I’m tired, but incredibly happy and grateful. I had so much fun teaching so many wonderful students. The energy from everyone was just amazing, and it made this experience truly special. I feel so lucky to have been part of this aerials weekend. I really hope I get to experience more events like this in the future. If you're looking for an unforgettable aerial weekend, definitely keep Karlsruhe in mind—and don’t miss the incredible events organized by @aerials_weekend_karlsruhe #AerialSilk #AerialWeekend #Karlsruhe #AerialLife #AerialCommunity

Did you know you can add on the second part? . What do you call the first part? And the second? . I know it as "hammock drop" . Lovely addition to it which I saw @repressed.potato.salad.v2 do! 💚💪 . #aerialdrop #silkdrop #aerialist

This move… Started with 2 belly wraps, super low, just trying to feel what’s going on. Then 3 – and I was like okayyyy, I like this. And obviously… I had to try 4. Was it clean? No. Was it a bit chaotic? Also yes. But hey – it works. If you’re trying this: take your time & use a crash mat. This one can get messy real quick. — Today was actually showcase day. And I was so ready to perform my choreo… but my body said no. Had to cancel my own piece, which honestly hurt. But watching my students on stage today? Worth everything. They did SO well 🤍 Sometimes you don’t get your moment – but you still get to witness something really special. Take care of yourselves & have a soft end to your weekend ✨ #aerialsilks #aerialist #progressoverperfection #listenToYourBody
