This festival is often regarded as Europe’s answer to The Sundance Film Festival! Big news! I’m pleased to say that Eyelashes short film is gonna have its North American premiere at the Oscar qualifying 50th Cleveland International Film Festival’s longest running educational program, FilmSlam® and CIFF50 Streams - Best of Fest, which will take place as a hybrid festival: in-person April 9th - April 18th at Playhouse Square, CSU, and the Cedar Lee Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, and online as CIFF50 Streams - Best of Fest from April 19th - 26th. I’m honored to share that EYELASHES has been selected at South Africa’s Joburg Film Festival @joburg_film_festival 8th edition, alongside a lineup of really incredible films. The film has been scheduled to screen on Saturday, 07 March 2026, at Theatre On the Square @theatreonthesquare at Nelson Mandela Square in Johannesburg, as part of the Celebration of Best Shorts program. The film is also in Competition. So fingers crossed! Fun fact: Idris Elba has a short film that he wrote and directed at the same festival. Do you think I’ll run into him?
