Summer days in the backcountry with some stellar ladies? Love! Double score for celebrating @farens_zoo engagement! Taylor bay ➡️ Tutka bay last month we hit some amazing weather and got to take some cold dips every day. Peak salmonberry season too 💗 . . . . 📍 Sugpiaq and Dena’ina lands #alaska #hiking #backpacking #mountains #snowfields #womenintheoutdoors

Been on the John Muir Trail (JMT) for 6 days now and having a blast! Got caught in one storm but otherwise being attacked by the Californian sun every day. There are too many photos to post and none of them show how beautiful they are in real life. Getting to know these lands well on foot. 📍 Yokut, Miwok, Mono, and Paiute lands

All my time spent in Kachemak bay and never been to Grewingk glacier! Was able to rent some packrafts in anchorage and make the drive down for the weekend - hit some amazing weather and didn’t have to fight the wind going towards the glacier. Grewingk lake is deceivingly big and we didn’t get too close - but with the warm weather and a lot of moving icebergs in the lake it was probably a good idea. I’m convinced I need to buy a packraft now! . . . . . 📍Dena’ina Ełnena and Sugpiaq lands #hiking #alaska #packraft #glacier #lake

Archangel - Bomber Hut - Snowbird Hut loop! Wowwweeee the Talkeetnas are still fun in the fall rain. Crossing glaciers was amazing and my favorite part of this trip. Seeing the wreckage of the bomber plane and old mines was cool to witness up close. We picked some end of season blueberries to keep us going while the rain soaked through all our layers. Would do again - and hopefully I can see the landscape in winter sometime 🤞 . . . . . 📍Dena’ina Ełnena lands #backpacking #alaska #mountains #glaciers #huts

Hurdygurdy attempt #2. Camped behind Eagle Lake right next to the S. Fork Eagle River. It rained on us overnight, making an exciting morning bushwack. Made it a little past Point 5764 before turning around with a view of Hurdygurdy’s summit. Next time we’ll allot more time/food for this peak. Still gorgeous views and even decent weather! So grateful to be able to experience Alaskan wilderness and beauty so close to home. . . . . . 📍Dena’ina Ełnena lands #backpacking #alaska #mountains #wildflowers #bushwhacking

Once again I feel so grateful to be instructed by a strong confident woman (@alaskapackraft !) who mixes fun and education in the outdoors! Today I got an intro to packrafting and it was amazing how crafty those little boats are. Now I’m dreaming of all the Alaskan adventures packrafting can be integrated in….. . . . . . 📍Dena’ina lands

June was a big travel month! Started off in Juneau for Celebration, camped in Denali with the Sitters, then celebrated love in Bozeman with the college pals 🫶 I hope the summer has more delightful sunny days to come. . . . . 📍Tlingit/Haida/Tsimshian, Ahtna/Dena’ina/Koyukon/Kuskokwim/Tanana, and Aspaálooke/Tséstho’e/Séliš/Ktunaxa lands

First time for both of us to Kauai and we tried to do all the things! Hiked Waimea canyon, kayaked Wailua river, jumping in waterfalls… we had a lot of fun and even camped the whole trip. Happy valentines to my adventure partner ❤️

Career update: today was my first day with the Family Birthing Services unit at ANMC! I hit my two years on 4East (surgical unit) in September and I just recently became a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN). I wanted to attain that certification right before I closed out my chapter as a MedSurg nurse, and now I am excited to go into the world of labor, delivery, postpartum, and more! Going back to full-time (booooo), but I am excited to learn a different part of nursing 🩺🏔️ Also - Pics to show my hair growth the last couple months since I went short! It’s been fun to try something new :)

La Senda Pirenaica día 4: Formigal to Candanchu. A rainy & windy 15 miles during a low energy day but still so pretty.
