TAKING FLIGHT š¦¢// This Black Swan is heading to Costa Mesa, California soon. The Black Swan Pas de Deux is one of the most iconic and thrilling moments in all of classical ballet ā a showstopper that tests both the technical prowess and dramatic skill of its dancers.
This pas de deux takes place in Act II of Swan Lake, during the infamous ballroom scene. Prince Siegfried believes heās pledging his love to Odette, the gentle White Swan, but heās actually being tricked by Odile, the seductive Black Swan ā a disguise created by the evil sorcerer Rothbart.

This is the Scottish Highland Dancingās version of the Irish Jig. There are many differences between Irish and Scottish dancing, traditional highland dances are performed in kilts and soft leather shoes but this was the only one we got to wear Irish clogs making it one of my favorites :)
At the time this photo was taken I had no idea what a life in ballet would be, I just loved it and still do! Happy to embark on another season with Miami City Ballet, letās go!
