What a difference a month makes. First pic was me 8 weeks ago, 2nd week was 4 weeks ago. Today, the scar remains, but so does my gratitude. Look around you. We keep losing everyone we love. Take the time now to show your gratitude to those who mean something to you. Too much hate and too much sorrow and too too much loss, all around. Celebrate today, because thatās what youāve got. Put your differences aside for a day, and appreciate the moment you have with the people you love. ā¤ļø
*** the message I would most like conveyed is one of gratitude, not empathy. Whatās done is done, and I am on the mend. I had a bad valve and they swapped it out. Whatās more important, is you appreciate the time you have and let the ones around you know you love them. The clock of life keeps ticking and your best chance to express your loving self is right now! ā®ļø please donāt get wrapped up in the great divide perpetuated by whichever side. Your attention and distraction is all they are after.
I donāt know if itās because Iām recovering from open heart surgery, but I am finding so much gratitude for the life I was lucky enough to have and ALL of the friends and colleagues I met along the way. Some of my biggest musical heroes have shaped me, and to see them still out there doing things makes me feel full of life and joy. Thank you for letting me in, and accepting me as one of the real ones.
