Reference material I created for my next oil painting “2AM”
I’ve been pushing myself to create more physical work lately but started digitally lets me fine tune the mood, lighting and smaller details before paint ever hits the canvas.
It’s a new process I’m testing so I’m curious to see how it all works out.
This piece is a visual meditation on creativity. The single lightbulb at the edge of the frame represents the spark of ideas that ignite the creative process, while the surrounding space suggests the many ways creativity can be expressed—inviting each viewer to discover their own point of connection.
Created as a limited-run print for the Black Boy Art Show in Los Angeles, each edition is hand-signed and numbered 1–50.
