I do think the choice of having her refuse to perform trauma so Charlie could make sense of her was intentional, but I think how much of her inner world we see being limited based on how he would react does mean we in the end don’t get to explore her much. Even if she has never interrogated her own self, it would be so interesting to see that she hasn’t and why. More moments of emma alone were called for imo
I do think it was a worthy premise tho and I enjoyed the movie lol
Imma do a part two about the other message I think The Drama handled really well though: who gets grace and who doesn’t.
