I JUST signed $500K Land Conveyance Agreement between the City and the Development Authority!!!! Making these deals happen is a process.... and this is a BIG first step in moving us closer to making it come to fruition.

My City is 100 square miles, has 100 thousand people, Making us the 3rd largest City in the metro Area, A 100 million dollar budget and has been noted as being the BLACKEST CITY IN AMERICA!!! Since I’ve been living in the Atlanta metropolitan I’ve seen all of the north side areas like Stonecrest, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs become a cities and go on to do various types of development deals to move their cities forward!

I’ve NOT seen the same thing on the SOUTH SIDE of town!!! Well I’m excited and proud to say A CHANGE IS COMING!! At the November 26 City Of South Fulton City Council meeting, city leaders voted to deed abandoned park land on OLD NATIONAL HIGHWAY to the Our Development Authority. Our Authority would oversee the development of the entire site.

This Atlantic Station-style development will be anchored by a Hyatt-brand hotel and include a conference center, shops, restaurants and condominiums.

That represents and equates to New jobs, New money Circulating in the community, New opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs and a whole New Direction for the SOUTH SIDE!

And I can not be humbled enough to be one of the people responsible for this type of change in our community!

Over the weekend we had the OFFICIAL Groundbreaking for phase 1 of Towne Center At Mansa Park! We’ve been working on this deal for a while and now it’s done! All the smart people have dotted the I’s and crossed all the T’s and I’ve signed on the dotted line! Deal Done!
Not in 40+ years have the Old National Corridor had a Multimillion Dollar investment like this, that will yield 10,000+ Jobs for the community and surrounding area!!!
This project will give thousands of people opportunities and change lives for years to come!!
And YES, I’m PROUD and EXCITED about that!
