In April of 2021, I got a call saying I was the recipient of the dance division class of 2025 Presidential Scholarship at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Fast forward to May 10, 2025 I graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance Summa Cum Laude!!
I had no idea 4 years ago how that call would change my life. Iâm so grateful for my experience at this school, the friendships Iâve grown, and proud of the person I have become!

Simms, guest artist living in New York City, shone brilliantly in the U.S. premiere of âNight Skyâ by renowned Canadian choreographer â¨Peggy Bakerâ¨This evocative work revealed the poetry of speed and softnessânuanced quickness woven with supple movementâbrought to life alongside a live violinist and pianist during our inaugural performance. Through a powerful remounting process, Aja infused the piece with depth, clarity, and fearless artistry, transforming âNight Skyâ into a moment of connection, courage, and luminous presence.
