π Wainscott Beach, Long Island
Do any of my film fantatic friends recognise this gorgeous place? This house features as a focal point in one of my favourite ever movies, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. Standing on this secluded beach in the very spot where movie magic was made felt like a dream, and no amount of photos or videos could ever do it justice.
The heavens opened up while we were on Long Island, so I was lucky enough to return and see this place covered in snow - just as it appears in parts of the movie! It deserves its own space on the grid, so I will be back with more! β€οΈ
GALE: YELLOW BRICK ROAD π
I have spent so long trying to string together the words to articulate the emotions I feel about this one. No words could ever be good enough. But I will try.
I am beyond honoured to have been part of this immense journey, with two of the most wonderful people whom I am blessed to call not only colleagues but friends for life.
@danielalexanderfilms & @tenishawhite1 - you have done something that many only ever dare to dream of and I am in awe at what you have accomplished. I could write a whole story on how proud I am of you both and on a more personal level, how much you both mean to me - but you already know, and thats not what this post is about. It is to celebrate this milestone moment and to shout your names from the rooftops. Making a movie is no small feat, let alone accomplishing what you have with it. You have inspired me from the very beginning of my career, and you continue to do so every single step of the way. No two people deserve this more than you. And I am forever grateful for your trust and belief in me.
This movie really is independent filmmaking in its most raw and unfiltered form. It is a love letter from a group of ridiculously talented creatives who came together with one vision, united by love for the art and for storytelling. It is a loud proclamation of what is possible through relentless determination and unwavering passion from all involved. So congratulations to the whole cast and crew, you have put the criminally underrated city of Birmingham on the map and made movie history. I cannot wait to see what is in store for all involved.
And a massive congratulations to the EP's, in particular @dane_petrali on making all of this possible and to the wonderfully talented writer Matt Ford. And a special shout out to Music Composer @thomasmelloruk on a truly incredible score.
Amen and GOD IS GOOD! ππΌβ€οΈ

Blessed because this time last week, this was a dream. And now, it is a memory. Thank you, Jesus ππΌβ€οΈ
And thank you to the most wonderful instructor ever for looking after me on my first skydive @mr.jammin - eternally grateful π«
π Times Square, NYC
(Paper bags are all fun and games until it rains and you are rushing through New York City, holding your shopping in your arms in an increasingly disintegrating bag. All while trying to find your hotel, intermittently check your phone's navigation system with a battery of 3% and rapidly declining). That isn't what happened after this photograph or anything. That would have been a bit overstimulating. Especially with a warm body but cold hands. Oh and accidentally splashing in puddles and having your feet wet and trousers dragging on the floor. Yikes, imagine that! π§

π The Plaza Hotel, NYC
The hotel where Kevin McCallister stays while he is lost in New York City in Home Alone 2. YES, the lobby where Donald Trump famously featured long before he was the President of the United States!
The Christmas decorations here were some of the most beautiful I saw in New York. I was in absolute awe taking all of it in. At face value, it seems such a simple thing - a beautifully decorated hotel. But for me, from watching the movie (one of my favourites, by the way) year after year to then standing right there and seeing it all up close with my own eyes, it was a dream come true π«
