I was +20 pounds when I shot this video & when I saw all the fat-shaming comments on YouTube I was hella upset because I had no clue I was “too fat to wear this outfit” buttttt to this day I’m proud of myself for choosing WHAT I LOVE whether it’s a fashion choice or the music I make. No matter what you do people are going to judge you or try to bring you down (when are YouTube comments gna be regulated lmfao)… so might as well do whatever MAKES YOU HAPPYEEE. Thank you for all the sweet comments I read every single one of them ! You have no clue how much it’s helped me get through the shitty moments in life. 💌✨

This month has been really scary. I’m back in Japan helping my mom through a difficult season. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster and I’ve been a mess.
Looking back, my childhood felt lonely. My mom worked day and night and barely slept so she couldn’t come to my school singing performances. when I sang on stage the applause from strangers filled parts of me that were empty. singing made me feel seen & loved 👩🏽♥️🎤
My mama always said to me, “You could be as great as Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey… but you need to practice more.” and it drove me fucking nuts 🗯️
But when I sang the Japanese anthem at the Dodger Stadium and saw her crying, everything clicked. I realized she was pushing me, not because I wasn’t enough, but because she believed I could reach for the stars ⭐️✨
I can’t wait to be a Mama like you one day!

Genuinely had a lot of fun making the edits with @aishadayo on this, and I can say she’s just as fun and funny IRL as she is on camera 😂 And slide 2 had me laughing every-time I saw it, never made it into a reel, but enjoy lol. To those who were born in 1990.
Also believe it or not, this was shot last year (March / April 2025). Not uncommon for me to take a year to finish up a podcast shoot at this point but I’ll get better with it.
