Last week at @valleyviewmedicalcenter , TriState CareFlight celebrated the 20th anniversary of CareFlight 6 and marked the official ribbon cutting for its sister base, CareFlight 11 in Fort Mohave, AZ. Thank you to District 2 County Board Supervisor Rich Lettman and Valley View Medical Center CEO Marcia Patterson for joining the celebration.
Working in tandem, CareFlight 6 and CareFlight 11 expand access to advanced emergency transport for communities along the Colorado River, alongside seven other CareFlight sister locations. To our flight crews, hospital partners, EMS teams, and community leaders, thank you for 20 years of trust and teamwork.
Helicopters aren't the only thing landing at our Mercy Air 15 base in Bakersfield, CA lately! Congratulations to Flight Clinicians Ashley and Liv, and Pilot Gehrig on welcoming their newest crew members β Alysson, Delores, and Luke! Three precious arrivals mean a future flight crew in the making. Give them a few decades, and they'll be ready for the flight line! ππ
For the fifth year in a row, Air Methods of Kentucky organized its Battle of the Bases blood drives, and with 153 blood unit donations so far in 2026, the total collected since 2022 now sits at 777! Each unit of blood can save up to three lives, meaning that over the past five years, more than 2,300 lives may have been saved thanks to donations. The Air Methods of Kentucky base in Somerset won bragging rights in 2026, collecting 136% of their goal!
