It was such a pleasure to read Lyla’s curatorial essay and spend time with this rich, expansive collection of work. Thoughtfully organized into several sections by Lyla and beautifully designed by Eliza Trent Rennick, this catalogue reflects the many directions abstraction can take today.
Lyla Rye’s curatorial vision brings together a diverse group of artists, each working from a distinct vantage point. The result is not a single aesthetic, but a dynamic field of approaches that shows abstraction remains a vital and evolving force in contemporary practice.
