I was supposed to post this yesterday, but opening my phone and seeing the pain, violence, killings, kidnappings, and fear unfolding in Nigeria broke me. I couldn’t post.
Becoming a U.S. citizen is one of the biggest milestones of my life, a journey that took six years, countless prayers, and unwavering faith.
I paused because joy felt too loud in a moment of grief.
But today, I remembered something important:
Our wins do not disrespect our wounds.
Even in darkness, we can honor both our blessings and our burdens.
So I share this today with gratitude and with heavy prayer.
For my future. For my family.
And for Nigeria, may healing, peace, and protection cover the land and the people.
Life is complex, but even in the heaviness, we do not stop praying, hoping, or believing.
May God protect every home, every child, every family, every woman, and every community in Nigeria.
And may this new chapter of my life reflect strength, resilience, and purpose for me and for my people.. 🙏🫶
