REBELS WITH A CAUSE: Pakistan, 🇵🇰 2022 Finally, I invite your eyes, your heart and mind to plunge yourselves into the Incredible tour that was and is “Rebels With a Cause”. (RWAC) —- We take you on a sensoriel journey brought to you by Kiki (@ainjul ) @Womensmotoexhibit and @Adifferentagenda that left us in awe and humbled us everyday. From the India-Pakistan border through the Land of the Giants where the worlds 3 highest mountain ranges meet…Oh my Pakistan you are so so sweet, you are magnificent, you are kind and you are sadly SO misunderstood. —— 7 Rebels and I set off to explore PK with more than just our motorcycles and a chase-vehicle full of supplies. We wanted more than to just fill our days with adventure, our bellies full of curry and hearts full of excitement, we had a purpose. This year RWAC partnered with an amazing non profit AKHO (@Akhopakistan ) to which we were able to raise 3000$ for in only a matter of weeks for their “Wells & Wheels” mission. The #BUILTFORGOOD campaign by @caferacersofinstagram generously donated @wavesforwater filters which were distributed in various villages along the way: Some additional filters were donated to “30 Birds” foundation, a safe house for female students who were able to flee Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover a year ago. 10 wheelchairs went to children and older handicapped people, desks were built for AKHO’s school and more kids are now able to access an education thanks to the funding! The impact was beyond anything I could’ve dreamt of and I’ll do everything in my power to keep this momentum going and this dream alive. To keep Caylee alive, our lil Rebel, the reason behind all this, in honor and memory of a true earth angel. — Thank you to everyone who donated to the cause. Today, we introduce Kiki aka @ainjul as the 14th recipient of the coin. A fixture of the LA scene, Kiki has impressed us all since we met her by her constant PMA and will to do good despite fighting a debilitating disease every day. Here her story in her own words: « I didn’t get to where I am and become who I am today because Lady Luck was on my side. Quite the fucking contrary, and I wouldn’t have it any other way anyway! The kinda “luck” I was blessed with on a 1500mile weekend ride on the Orygun Run 2018, was a tick bite and chronic Lyme disease that would slowly but surely strip me from everything that my core foundation was made of. Mobility, autonomy, freedom, my career, neurological function, and plunged me into a nightmare I cannot awake from to this day. What the tick didn’t know is that it bit the wrong bitch, cause I bite back!! It took away most of what makes me ME, but one unshakeable thing it will never take or destroy is my spirit. My marriage of 11 years? Lost it. My homestead and life I built for myself over a decade in Oregon? Ciao ciao over night. Riding motorcycles? Bye Felicia. Oh yeah fun fact: I’m 42 and still don’t know how to drive. I’ve only ever ridden bikes the last 13 years. Anywayyyy fast forward, I lose everything, find myself transplanted to California, thinking woooo fresh start, new job, new loves, sunnier pastures, but the reality was ugly man. Organs shutting down, rehab, losing my job, moto accident, becoming homeless, global pandemic, my best friend Caylee fighting her own battle by my side, only to lose the fight to the worst C word out there.
