I speak because my sisters feel!
Moved by the women in the room, I wrote this piece in ode to them, to the ones before us, and to the ones still to come.
This International Women’s Day, phenomenal women from enriched heritages gathered in Northampton to speak about survival, violence, healing, hope and the next steps.
⚠️ ‼️A request was made for local community engagement representatives to attend the event. The cost was £55. The response was LOUD silence and non attendance.

Even now, our voices echo louder than the systems meant to hear them.
There is still so much to be done on the journey to justice. Whilst there is so much to do, there so much to celebrate.
