BOOK REVIEW // BEHIND HER EYES ~ SARAH PINBOROUGH šš
Okay so clearly Iām on a thriller streak right now š Iād heard so much about the series, but I decided to read the book first and yeah, no regrets. I definitely enjoyed the book more. But Iām not even going to lie, I had to go search for spoilers halfway through because my brain could not keep up with what was happening š I donāt usually do that, but this one?? It was messing with my head too much.
What starts off looking like a simple love triangle turns into something way darker and honestly⦠unsettling. Like, you think you know what kind of story youāre reading, and then it just flips everything. By the end, the title made so much sense, and I just sat there like⦠wow.
The first half felt a bit slow for me, I wonāt lie. I was easing into it, trying to figure out the characters and where it was going. But once it picked up??? I was fully locked in. Like WHATTT is going on here??
Adele and Davidās relationship seems perfect on the surface almost too perfect. Then thereās Louise, who gets pulled into both of their lives in completely different ways, and thatās when everything starts to feel⦠off. The dynamics are messy, confusing, and lowkey addictive to read. I trusted nobody š
The shifting POVs and timelines threw me off at first, but once it clicked, it really clicked. The characters will frustrate you, confuse you, and still keep you hooked at the same time.
Honestly, it gave me vibes of The Housemaid mixed with Split that kind of eerie, psychological, āsomething is not right hereā energy.
And that ending?? Yeah⦠I get why people are divided, but for me, it was bold, shocking, and completely unforgettable.
If you love psychological thrillers with twists that make you question everything, this one is definitely worth the ride.

Book Review: Fast by Millie Belizaire
āāāāā
This story follows Caprice and Shaun, and honestly, Iām not even a big fan of friends-to-lovers because it can feel repetitive sometimesā¦but this book completely proved me wrong. The love Shaun had for Caprice from such a young age? So pure, so selfless it had me in my feelings fr. And when they lost touch?? My heart broke. But the way they found their way back to each other⦠yeah, I was blushing like a high school girl š
One thing I really loved was how the book was structured. Each act felt like a whole new phase of life we see them as kids, teenagers, and then adults in their careers. And through all those stages, their love never really faded. That consistency? Beautiful.
But let me not liethis book is raw. Itās emotional, itās heavy, and it deals with deep trauma. Capriceās story, especially what she went through⦠it was heartbreaking and honestly hard to read at times. What happened in a place that was supposed to be safe? Yeah⦠that part really stayed with me. And what Caprice did to Shaun?? Omg š
I also loved the therapy aspect and how it showed healing and growth. This is more than just a romance; itās a coming-of-age story about trauma, resilience, and becoming better.
