Our curators will present five jazz albums whose visual identity pulled them in before the first note ever played. Through conversation and curated listening, they’ll break down the connection between visual storytelling and sonic experience — revealing how great design can make you hear differently, and how great music can make you see the world through a completely new lens.

To better understand how this happened, we spoke with Dr. Natalie Hopkinson (@thenathop ), Founding Chief Curator of the Go-Go Museum (@thegogomuseum ) and author of “Go-Go Live: The Musical Life and Death of a Chocolate City”. Using the chapters of her book as a guide, our conversation explored how Go-Go helped define how the city sees itself and how its people recognize one another.

Last Thursday, we closed out Black History Month with an intentional, "off the grid" gathering for the creative community.
