I’ve ran since I was 12 and did it for the mental. But if you think I enjoy it while doing it you’re ohhhh so very wrong. I do it because the feeling I get everytime I overcome the thoughts of not wanting to is a huge dopamine hit.

Something special happens when you don’t want to let your team down…
and you really want to beat the other one.

In the end, all that’s left is gratitude—

Taking dads and chads across San Diego with ages varying from 20’s to mid 40’s to compete weekly against each other has been one of my favorite experiences as a trainer.
You realize how much you miss competing, comrade, and team work from sports growing up. As humans we’re wired to hunt & gather as tribes. Obviously our modern day has changed very much…… but our natural instinct hasn’t. What this weekly class taps into makes you feel more human each time you take it! 📸 @828growth

Listen ladies. Putting on muscle doesn’t happen that easily and when you do gain muscle the benefits are insane. After 30 it will get harder & harder to put on muscle. Don’t ever let the fear of “getting bulky” stop you from getting stronger. Having muscle is what makes you look “tone” “lean” and have shape. If you don’t have muscle it will be fat that takes its place.
For a woman to get my traps you will need the same level of testosterone as me and lift hard as you gain consistently for 15 years……
If it was easy to build muscle, strength, while having crazy lungs everyone would do it.
The fitness space is showing that the ultimate athlete is all about being balanced with both elements of strength & endurance!
But programming and finding time for both is not easy and takes effort.
