“The Queen of Iowa” and the “Hourglass” album feature a band I’m humbled to make music with: Rebecca Berlin (piano), Hester Doyle (cello), and Annette Wasilik (guitar, voice).
These songs also have outstanding contributions from Ahren Buchheister (dobro, mandolin, pedal steel) and Don Godwin (percussion). Don also engineered and mixed the whole dang record.
I got to record two great recording sessions with 8 incredibly talented women today. Here’s a little clip from the second session. Zoe Kushbar’s Dissertation Recital at UMD featuring Jessica Albrecht on Cello and Dr. Jessica Mckee on Piano. (Forgive the strange angle- I was only responsible for audio and I just had to film some of this shred!) Audio you’re hearing is @vanguardaudiolabs V44s Gen2 in Blumlein
A LITTLE BIT is out 🙌
I am so beyond excited about this one. First single from my upcoming studio album. Hope you enjoy 🙏
Deep Gratitude to the people who brought this track to life with their ideas and contributions. ❤️
