The Tide
You were the sound of my commute today
woven through the
coughs and sirens
The friction of the train against the tracks
Plucking and pulling
The sound of some ancient beauty
some cognitive recollection
Of a feeling
Pulled through the heart
And released.
The wind blew strong and hot
And I lost the signal
Though I smiled against the breeze
Hoping to catch a note
Traveled through time
To find me.
Happy birthday to my builder, hunter, angler, photographer, and dog wrangler. 🥳🥳🥳
Wishing you another year of adventure. Love you the most! @devinfarrand
Happy 10th anniversary to my love of loves @devinfarrand ! Boy has it been a wild ride this year - but you have been by my side through the hardest things I’ve gone through in my life and we still managed to go on some incredible adventures and find joy together.
Here’s to another 10 (and more!) supporting each other, rooting for each other, and building a life together on our own terms.
I love you. I love you. I love you.
Catch works by Todd Gray (@toddgrayla ), Ariel Herwitz (@aherwitz ), Georgianna Chiang (@georgiannachiang ), Public Sculpture Archive (@publicsculpturearchive ), Benjamin Weissman (@snowymoments ), and Maria Maea (@maeamaria ) at Carla’s Ten Year Soirée & Art Auction on June 14th at The Pit.
Each of the 103 participating artists are contributing a small, accessibly-priced 5x7 inch work on paper (or a low-relief, wall-based medium); this small-scale format is inspired by blow-in cards found between the pages of print magazines. The starting bids for all artworks will be $300, and the online auction will go live on May 30th and conclude at the in-person event on June 14th at 8:45 p.m.
Tickets for the event and more information about the art auction are available online at the link in bio!
Dear friends, it is with the heaviest heart that I have to share of the passing of my little brother, Sterling, on Friday January 17th in Los Angeles, CA.
He was just the coolest kid - precocious, funny, outgoing and smart as hell. As an adult, he struggled with a lot of things, but he continued to make music and try to find his way in this world. I just wish he had more time, and that I had more time with him. I loved him so much. And I can’t believe I have to say goodbye to him.
My family has set up a memorial page for him (link in my bio) where people can share photos, memories and condolences. We are asking for help to cover memorial costs and to get him home to Massachusetts where my parents live. Details on his memorial in MA will follow.

Proud of this show from this October @alto_beta - I put together this PDF of the install which also includes poetry which I’m sharing for the first time.
Working on being more open and vulnerable and I hope it’s felt in the work itself and the words that travel alongside them. I don’t consider myself a poet, I wouldn’t say that I know for sure what even makes good poetry, but I tried to share words to give context to my sculpture.
Exploring themes of what it means to live a “good life”, creativity, spiritual presence, and the collective - written plainly or with a bit of humor.
