Our 2024 project, Norfolk by AGUSHI.
Resting within a naturally tapering native landscape of Moonah trees and Norfolk Pines on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, the project reinterprets the beach house vernacular. Across two storeys, Norfolk’s programming is defined by reverse living principles although, unlike the traditional approach which places sleep and bathing zones downstairs and living spaces upstairs to leverage views, Norfolk has been envisioned and delivered as an elevated single-storey home with a ground floor that addresses all the lifestyle trimmings that render this a luxurious beach residence.

Described by Get In My Home as "a folded plate steel staircase redolent of a sculpture," the entry at Huntingtower is a statement in steel, concrete, bronze, brass, and European Oak parquetry.

A central courtyard planted with Ginkgo biloba trees became the heart of Nareeb, completed in 2023, drawing daylight deep into the home throughout the day.

One of my favourite @agushigroup projects. Such a beautiful home. Our #externalvenetianblinds integrated seamlessly into the facade and providing incremental control of heat, light, glare and privacy automatically via @somfy_anz intelligent technology.

The ribbon-like form of the staircase at Kent, along with the warmth of timber, softens the home’s more brutalist architectural elements.
